Telegram is accessible for the iPhone and iPad, Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Changing this setting is simple because the creators used a similar technique with each app, and so the steps are the same for each one.
To access this option, tap or click on the Settings cog icon at the bottom of the screen or window, as seen in the screenshot.
On the iPhone, there is a Telegram Settings tab.
Select “Last Seen & Online” from the Privacy drop-down menu.
On the following screen, you can decide who will be able to see your “Last Seen Online” time: “Friends, family, coworkers, etc.” Everyone (including people who have not been added to your contacts list), My Contacts, and Nobody.
Depending on the configuration you select, you may be able to include exceptions to this rule.
Telegram Hide “Last Seen” Time Alternatively, for example, if you select “Nobody,” you will be presented with the option to “Always Share With…“. By tapping on this, you can add contacts who will be able to see when you were last online on a consistent basis. This is particularly handy for close friends or family members. If you select “Everyone,” you will be able to add users to a block list instead of adding them to a whitelist.
You should double-check that everything else is in order while you’re playing with Telegram’s privacy settings. Besides that, you can set other preferences, such as who has the ability and who does not have the ability to add you to group chats, who can call you and who can forward your messages to other accounts.
Default settings will display the exact date on which you last appeared on the internet as a default. If it has been less than 24 hours since you were last online, the precise time you were last online will be included in this information as well. If you leave it any longer than that, simply the date will be displayed on screen.
There are four possible approximate time periods, according to telegram, which are as follows:
Recently: within the last zero to three days, the most recent sighting.
Within a week: the last sighting occurred between three and seven days ago.
Within a month: the animal was last seen between seven days and a month ago.
It was a long time ago: the last time I saw him was more than a month ago.
The message “A long time ago” will always appear for users who have been blocked, even if you have recently chatted with them.
Step 1: To conceal your last seen on Telegram from particular contacts, open the Telegram app and press on the hamburger menu symbol in the top-left corner. Then tap on ‘Settings‘ and then on ‘Privacy and Security‘ to access the settings menu.
Step 2: Select ‘Last Seen‘ from the ‘Privacy and Security‘ section of the settings menu. While your last seen on Telegram is not visible to anybody, you will see the option to share it with particular contacts if you are not already doing so. In contrast, if you’re sharing it with everyone or just your contacts, you’ll see the ‘Never Share With‘ option under the ‘Last Seen‘ area of the screen.
To prevent your last seen on Telegram from being shared with certain contacts, pick the ‘Never Share With‘ option and then select the contacts from whom you do not want your last seen to be shared. Once you’ve finished selecting your contacts, click on the check mark symbol in the top-right corner of the screen.
That’s all there is to it. That’s how you may keep your last seen on Telegram secret from specific people. But if you ever feel the need to share your last seen with these contacts again, you may go to the Settings > Privacy & Security > Last Seen menu, select ‘Never Share With’, then tap and hold the name of the person you want to remove from the list.
Keep in mind, however, that hiding your last seen on Telegram from others also means that you will not be able to see their last seen, and vice versa. When you search for someone on Telegram, you will only see their estimated last seen date, such as “recently,” “within the past week,” or “within the last month.” You will not be able to see the exact time.
